5G technology is a breakthrough, delivering Enhanced Mobile Broadband (eMBB), Ultra-Reliable and Low-Latency Communication (URLLC) and Massive Machine-Type Communication (mMTC), 5G applications represent tremendous opportunities for consumers, homes, businesses and communities.

 

How 5G can be faster? The main reason should be using shorter frequencies (millimeter waves between 30GHz and 300GHz) and larger the bandwidth. The high-band 5G spectrum supports expected boost not only in speed but also in capacity, low latency, and quality. However 5G download speed may differ widely by area. In addition to speed enhanced, 5G also hope to unleash massive IoT (Internet of Things) ecosystem networks can serve communications need for billions of connected devices.

New 5G applications are emerging, supported by national strategies:

The 5G spectrum frequencies contain the sub-6 GHz and the millimeter-wave (mm-Wave) from 24.25 GHz and above. In the sub-6 GHz range still major for 4G LTE, GSM, ISM, RFID, WLAN, Wi-Fi 6E, GNSS, Tetra, Project 25, NB-IoT, WCDMA, LPWAN related technologies and applications; Satellites use frequencies near or in the mm-Wave range, therefore will be sharing the space with 5G traffic. How to coexist and how to resolve signal interference conflicts deserves research and attention. Therefore the RF Microwave Components, Duplexers and Combiners or Splitters play an increasingly vital roles to resolve signal interference conflicts.
